Our Story

The history of Fall River Brewing Co.

As legends go, it was a cold winter’s day in 2011 when John and Amanda Hutchings found a small home brew on their front porch. They took it inside, took a sip, liked what they tasted and decided to name it Hex. From there Fall River Brewing was born. Or something like that. The details can be a bit hazy like an IPA.

In reality, a passion for brewing and desire to own their own business led the Hutchings to create Fall River Brewing Co. From its birth in a home garage, to a converted airplane hangar near Burney Falls, and eventually the move in 2018 to the Redding facility and a new 30 BBL brewing system, the couple’s business has blossomed into a devoted, beer-loving community. With distribution throughout California and Nevada, Fall River Brewing has made an indelible mark on the West Coast.
